According to reports, Puma have confirmed the signing of PSG superstar Neymar Jr who parted ways with Nike according to reports. The 28years old Brazilian ended his £78.6m partnership deal with Nike after 15years. Now, he will wear Puma’s Legendary boots next season according to reports.
As Reports may have it, Neymar is now a brand ambassador of Puma. He will be wearing Puma’s lifestyles, Puma training wears, Puma’s footwear as well as their apparent products according to reports.
This news will come as a blow to Nike who has been Neymar sponsor since he was 13years of age before he became a professional footballer. Nike supplied sporting materials to Santos during Neymar’s time with the Brazilian club.
According to reports, Neymar was contracted until 2022 with Nike but Neymar has opted to switch allegiances early. Nike will be losing of their biggest stars while Puma will gain a big star to their brand. Puma are so delighted to have Neymar on board.
Puma has high profile names such as Antonio Griezmann, Pele and Maradona. The brand also have partnerships with AC Milan and Manchester City. They lost their global ambassador after Usain bolt retired.
Now as reports may have it, Neymar will become the new face of the brand. Neymar has won lots of trophies in his career. He has scored 61goals in 101games for Brazil.
The new announcement was confirmed on social media in a ‘THE KING IS BACK’ entitled message. According to Neymar, ‘ I grew up watching videos of great footballers such as Pele, Maradona, Cruyff, Eusebio’
